This hotel is located just before the bridge to Anna Maria, about 10 minutes away from Sandbar (without traffic). We (the bride and groom) aren't staying here, but the odds we end up at this hotel bar at some point are high.

Located about 35 minutes from Sandbar, this would be a good option for anyone wanting to explore the Sarasota area and indulge in some scenic car rides.

Airports
Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ): ~30 minutes from Anna Maria Island. It’s the closest and most convenient option.
Tampa International Airport (TPA): ~1 hour and 15 minutes away, offering more flight options and major airline service.
Other Lodging Options

Local Info
Anna Maria Island has a mix of casual beachfront cafes and fine dining. March is part of the spring break season so the island may be busier than usual, but shouldn't feel overly packed, especially compared to bigger beach destinations.
March is typically very pleasant on Anna Maria Island, with average highs around 75–80°F and lows around 60–65°F. March is one of the drier months, but occasional light rain is possible. A light jacket or sweater is a good idea for cooler evenings.
Getting Around
Car Rental: Ideal for flexibility, especially for getting to/from the airport and exploring nearby areas.
Island Trolley: The Monkey Bus is a free trolley service that runs daily and connects key points on the island. It’s a fun, scenic, and easy way to travel without worrying about parking.
Bikes & Golf Carts: Popular options for shorter distances. Rentals are widely available.
